SANTA FE WRITING RETREAT and WORKSHOP

Join us in beautiful Santa Fe, New Mexico for a week immersed in your current project. Enjoy the company of other writers as we gather in the afternoons to discuss that day’s work. Throughout the week, we’ll host craft discussions, publishing talks, explore our pages, and more. But, mostly, we will write.
A Typical Day
Morning writing time.
Afternoon walkabouts and/or writing time.
Late afternoon workshops.
Early evening sunset gathering.
Dinner in-house or in-town.
Retreat Locale
Our headquarters and where we will hold our manuscript discussions is a historic original adobe house built by the famed White Sisters who treasured the Santa Fe traditions of roughhewn vigas, intricate corbels, coved ceilings, kivas, and Saltillo tile floors. The Amelia White Park is just across the bridle path that runs in the back of the property. Set in the historic Eastside of Santa Fe, the hacienda is a short walk to the famed Downtown Subscription for morning coffee and the even more famous Canyon Road. Stroll a bit farther and you will reach The Plaza, the heart of Santa Fe, where a party always awaits. Wander up the hill to the magnificence and diversity of Museum Hill.
The hacienda will house a small number of participants. Once accepted into the Retreat, we will assist you with lodging. There are innumerable lodging choices located near the hacienda; we will provide participants who aren’t staying at the hacienda with transportation to and from the hacienda for those staying close by.

Retreat & Conference: $1,500
Lodging at the Hacienda: $1,800

If you are not currently in one of Connie’s three monthly workshops, you will need to submit five pages of prose—double-spaced, Times New Roman Font, original margins written in Microsoft Word—via an email attachment (inkblossomwriters@gmail.com). The deadline for applying is July 1, but we recommend applying early because space is limited and you’ll want to secure lodging with time to spare.
Fee Deadlines
If you are accepted into the retreat/conference, you will need to secure your space with a non refundable $500 deposit upon acceptance (payment instructions will be sent to you). The $1,000 balance is due August 1.
Cancellations
While we know life happens, cancellations create a hardship on the retreat. We can refund your $1,000 balance before September 1 if we can find a replacement for your slot. After September 1, we are unable to offer refunds.
