Monthly Virtual Workshops 2026

2026 marks the eighth year of Connie’s virtual writing workshops. These workshops are not the stale, damaging workshops of yore. They are deep tissue discussions in which the writer whose work is being explored has full agency in the process. The InkBlossom Method emphasizes exploration over prescriptive edicts, discovery and dynamic development over didactic and uninspired judgments.

Workshop groups are limited to no more than six writers. At each monthly session, the works of two writers are explored. If a writer would rather discuss a topic or issue in lieu of turning in pages, that is encouraged.

Participants often remark that they learn as much by discussing the work of workshop mates as they do when their work is discussed.

Groups meet monthly for the entire year.

Each writer’s work or topic is discussed in 45 minute to one-hour segments.

Writers submit approximately 15 pages a week prior to their scheduled session.

These are nurturing, vigorous discussions designed to uplift, inform, and help each writer discover solutions while improving their art and craft.

Monthly workshop writers have perks! Application fees are waived for other InkBlossom offerings and they are notified about new offerings before they go public. We hold readings that are open to the community and offer a craft and/or publishing discussion panel.

"I have worked with Connie for many years, as an editor, teacher, and mentor, both individually and in a group setting. Connie embraces our stories with precision and expertise, encouraging us to shed unnecessary words in order to get to the heart of what we want to say. Her careful editing helps us to keep all the important elements of story afloat: tension, character, setting, conflict, voice, point of view. Her attention to detail continuously challenges us to reach deep and to revise and refine until we unveil the essence of our work. I highly recommend her." ~ Tricia E. Bratton, Novelist

CANCELLATION POLICY

We understand emergencies happen and empathize with those facing challenges. We are a small, boutique workshop because we feel learning and inspiration takes place more readily in intimate, nurturing settings. That also means that cancellations place a particular burden on us. We are only able to refund tuition fees, not including the nonrefundable deposit, up to December 15. After December 15, we are only able to refund your tuition, not including the deposit, if we are able to fill your spot with another writer.

TUITION AND DEPOSIT PAYMENT

Payment instructions will be sent upon acceptance.
